Life After Sand Lot... The Story Of "Ham"

PATRICK RENNA???????? Do you remember the fat, chub-bed out cheeks, freckles, and yes red hair. He was the quintessential ginger kid of the early 90s. He pretty much was in the lime light as a child actor. I was re visiting my 90s movie collection the other night and busted out my Polly Shore VHS box set. Well I chuckled at the inbred humor and bad 90s fashion, I noticed the fat ginger kid with a creepy interest in his sister. That's when it hit me.... Who the fuck is that kid??? I looked thought the movies of my childhood and he popped up in more then one.
The first is probably one of my favorite movies of my childhood. THE SAND LOT. He plays Hamilton "Ham" Porter, the little shit that acts like hes the Great Bam Beano himself. Who can for get that cult classic. Denis Leary AND James Earl Jones star in it and if that's not enough Squints fakes sudden death just to feel up the hottest prepubescence 1960's lifeguard ever and in the end grows up to marry her (there's hope for all free ballers out there, hot young women sometimes get wet for geeks....... sometimes).
The next big hit for this young ball dropper was THE BIG GREEN. If you watched the Family channel (or were forced to) as a kid you will probably remember him as the snarkie goalie on the worst hick soccer team, that dealt with self-esteem, making friends and family drama. WOW a major box office hit with church groups.
Then yes SON IN LAW.  Everything else he's done has not achieved the same success as these 3 major career  films.
Sadly he was subjected to a life of Scientology. Attending  Delphi Academy and using it as a way to steer clear of the udder belly of fame. "I am taking courses at Celebrity Center International (a Church of Scientology in Hollywood). I encourage everyone to come and check out Celebrity Center International for yourself, because for me -- it's changed my life."Church of Scientology Home Page for Patrick Renna

Good to see that Pauly Shore had no effect on this kid....
